German Class at Lycée Saint Marc, Lugdunum and City Visit - Lyon - by Alex Hayes (Tuesday, 4 June)

I started my day off with a two hour long German class from 8:00-10:00. Though it was challenging to follow along in class, I did find it interesting how many students take at least two modern languages, one of which is English. During German class, we watched parts of a film that was in German and then the students would discuss what it was about.

After German class, our group headed out for the day to Lugdunum where we saw an ancient Roman amphitheater and the museum about Lugdunum and the Romans. Lugdunum is at the top of a big hill that overlooks Lyon and the surrounding area which allowed some nice views.

Once we were finished in Lugdunum, we then headed back to the high school for lunch. After we finished lunch, we had time to ourselves from 12:30 or so until 5:00. I went out into the city with friends Drew and Wyatt to go shopping and see the great city of Lyon.
